Jamshedpur, July 8: Rotary Club of Jamshedpur in association with Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Pvt. Ltd today inaugurated a rainwater harvesting system at Little Flower School, Telco, the 35th such school where the system was introduced.

The Kerala cabinet has decided to establish a tribunal for awarding compensation to people affected by a production plant of Hindustan Coca Cola Beverages Private Limited (HCCB)  at Plachimada in Palakkad district.

Rejecting opposition from the Industries Ministry, Kerala Cabinet on Wednesday decided to form a tribunal to assess and realise compensation from Coca Cola for the damage caused by its bottling plant at Plachimada in Palakkad.

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Cabinet is all set to take a decision this week on the K. Jayakumar Committee report on the ecological damage caused by the Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Company at Plachimada in Palakkad district.

The Chief Minister, Mr V.S. Achuthanandan, said on Wednesday that the report of a committee recommending payment of compensation to those affected by the operation of Hindustan Coca Cola Beverages plant at Plachimada is under consideration of the Cabinet.
