After having experimented with dedicated bus lanes in the central verge and the left on the first Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Corridor between Ambedkar Nagar to Delhi Gate, the Delhi Government has now come up with another idea to successfully run the BRT Corridor.

While the citizens of the Capital do not have enough potable water, the transport department of the Delhi government has decided to install water-softener plants to wash low-floor buses with an expenditure of lakhs of rupees.

New Delhi: Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) seems to be on a fast track to modernisation. While nearly 200 buses are to be added to the existing fleet by March next year, the entire fleet is going to be fitted with global positioning system (GPS).

The government's plan to phase out Blueline buses in the capital is likely to take more time than expected. While its "cluster" scheme, in which private players were to be invited to run buses on particular cluster of routes, seems to have encountered a financial problem, the arrival of the low-floor DTC buses may also take time.
