The High Court division bench headed by Chief Justice P D Dinakaran has quashed the order of a single judge which had prohibited mining in forest areas of the State.

June 4: The AP High Court on Thursday warned it will take action on officials of the mines and geology department who conducted public auction of the sand reaches in the Penna River without obtaining a ground water feasibility report.

The High Court division bench headed by Justice V Gopala Gowda will take up the matter relating to cutting of trees and granting of land inside Lalbagh Botanical Garden to Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL), on Friday.
