Aug. 27: Union health ministry on Thursday said its "limited analysis" on deaths due to H1N1 influenza virus has revealed that most of the patients were brought in for treatment at a very late stage. The ministry also feels that 14-44 years is vulnerable age-group to be affected by the virus, which has so far claimed 78 lives in the country.

Most people who died due to swine flu in the country reported to hospitals with very severe cough and breathlessness. This was revealed in a study of the first 33 out of the total 78 deaths in the country. Meanwhile, swine flu has claimed three more lives, taking the countrywide toll to 88.
