Study Ordered By Noida Authority To Find Causes & Extent

Noida: The Noida Authority has sought assistance of IITRoorkee for undertaking a survey to determine the causes and extent of pollution in the city.
Following an order of National Green Tribunal on January 15 for the formation of an expert committee to undertake the survey, the Authority has appointed a technical expert from IIT-Roorkee to be part of the panel. The panel also includes representatives from the Union environment and forests ministry, besides representatives of the central and UP state pollution control boards.

Indraprastha Gas, the sole supplier of CNG in Delhi-NCR, has revised the price of CNG in Delhi by R1.55 per kg to R39.90 due to increased input gas price and related taxes. Consumers will have to pay R39.90 per kg in Delhi and R45.10 per kg in the Noida, Greater Noida and Ghaziabad areas.

A minor clash broke out at the Wave City site office in Ghaziabad on Wednesday when police resorted to a lathicharge to disperse farmers who were protesting against insufficient compensation.
