THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Lok Ayukta has directed the Director General of Police (DGP) to deploy sufficient police personnel to keep a constant vigil in the rural areas of the district from where illegal sand mining has been reported.

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: In a bid to help farmers get their due profits, the district panchayat will soon implement an e-krishi project in 21 grama panchayats. The project proposal was approved by the Development Seminar that was held here on Wednesday to discuss the annual plan projects.

Monitoring committees will be formed under the guidance of working groups, as laid out in the guidelines of the State Government.
