Draft notification on fly ash
Whereas by notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Environment and Forests number S.O. 763(E), dated the 14th September, 1999 (hereinafter referred to as the said notification) issued under sub-section (1) and clause (v) of sub-section (2) of section 3 and section 5 of the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986 (29 of 1986), the Central Government, issued directions for restricting the excavation of top soil for manufacture of bricks and promoting the utilisation of fly ash in the manufacture of building materials and in construction activity within a specified radius of one hundred kilometers from coal or lignite based thermal power plants.
