POLLUTION STUDY
A detailed study on the overall pollution level in Pakistan's capital Islamabad is halfway through under a Technology Transfer for Sustainable Industrial Development (TTSID) project. Compilation of data will be completed by March 1999, and the final report on the three-phased project is due in April 1999. Under the project, environmental audits were carried out in the capital's industrial estate to study air pollution levels, qualitative as well as quantitative, according to Haider Khawaja, who heads the team.
