Tamil Nadu Forest Department public notice on the Elephant Corridor
Whereas, in compliance of the orders of the Hon'ble High Court, Madras dated 03.12.09 in W.P. Nos. 10098/08 and 2762 & 2839/2009, the Government decided that the Elephant Corridor identified by the Expert Committee, constituted in the said Writ Petitions, is the Elephant Corridor in Segur Plateau of Nilgiris District; whereas, it has been ordered to publish the map showing the Elephant Corridor in two local newspapers one in English and another in Vernacular Tamil giving details of survey numbers and extent of private lands which are falling within the proposed Elephant Corridor and the persons may be asked to submit their objections within a time frame of one month.
