Rating of largest US companies provides comprehensive three year trending of climate innovation in the private sector A new rating of the 360 largest US companies, undertaken by risk analysis company Maplecroft, has revealed GE, Alcoa, Johnson Controls, Ford, Intel, Hess, Air Products, Praxair, United Technologies and Autodesk as leaders in the innovation of cleantech solutions and new products, the mitigation of climate change related risks and the management of carbon emissions. According to Maplecroft, emerging trends in climate innovation include technological advances in alternative fuels, equipment and emissions monitoring, managing exposures to the impacts of climate change and creating efficiencies in energy use, business processes and transportation.
