Gujarat Pipavav Port Limited (GPPL) is the developer and operator of the country's first private sector port at Pipavav in Gujarat. The company has exclusive right to develop and operate the Pipavav Port ( APM Terminals, Pipavav) and related facilities until 2028 pursuant to the Concession Agreement with Gujarat Maritime Board (GMB) and the Government of Gujarat (GoG). APM Terminals Pipavav is strategically located in Gulf of Cambay/Khambhat, in the Saurashtra region of the state is one of the principal gateways on the west coast of India. It is an all weather port protected by two islands, which act as a natural breakwater maximizing port safety, located just 152 nautical miles from Nhava Sheva in Mumbai. The port’s location in the state of Gujarat provides immediate access to a rich hinterland and key markets in northwest India.
