Order of the National Green Tribunal regarding a school's location which was less than 500 meters in distance from the eight stone crushers located in the Naka Pata, Bilowa, Madhya Pradesh, 11/02/2014

National Green Tribunal directed the closure of stone crushers running near two schools in Bilowa, Madhya Pradesh. These crushers whose ‘consent to operate’ was withheld by the MPPCB were running at a distance less than 500 meters from the schools. Sunil Sharma & Ors. dated 11/02/2014 Order of the National Green Tribunal (Central Zonal Bench, Bhopal) in the matter of Shree 1008 Kunwar Raj Rajeswari Vs. Sunil Sharma & Ors. dated 11/02/2014 regarding a school's location which was less than 500 meters in distance from the eight stone crushers located in the Naka Pata, Bilowa, Madhya Pradesh. It was also noted that in the same area of Bilowa two schools, one at Chirpura & the other at Rafatpura had stone crushers running at a distance less than 500 meters whose ‘consent to operate’ was withheld by the MPPCB and the Hon’ble Principal Bench of the National Green Tribunal has also directed the closure of the said crushers as a result.
