Agra’s ‘polluting pethas’ get marching orders from Taj city
Agra: Agra’s petha manufacturing industry is in trouble. The sweetmeat producers have been forced to down shutters because of an initiative to save the Taj Mahal. Even protests by manufacturers and workers failed to grab the district administration and civic body’s attention. Mini petha units using coal or disposing waste in the Yamuna have been ordered to shut shop.
