Order of the National Green Tribunal regarding Luhri Hydro project in Himachal Pradesh, 12/08/2015
Order of the National Green Tribunal (Principal Bench, New Delhi) in the matter of Shyam Singh Chauhan Vs. Union of India & Ors. dated 12/08/2015 regarding Sutlej Jal Vidyut Nigam Limited (SJVNL) plan to construct a 38 km long tunnel for the Luhri Hydro project in Himachal Pradesh.
The Counsel appearing for the Project Proponent submits that they have decided to change the very design of the Project with an intention to make it more environmental friendly and to attain higher standard of pollution control.
