Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Shobha Singh & Ors. V/s State of Punjab & Ors. dated 18/12/2015 regarding pollution of river Satluj.
Grievance is made that the sewerage is being released in river Satluj by STP at Sultanpur Lodhi and Basti Peerdaad in State of Punjab and thereby River Satluj flowing through the State of Rajasthan is getting contaminated. NGT directs the joint team of CPCB and Punjab PCB to collect samples of the effluents discharged from STP at Sultanpur Lodhi and Basti Peerdaad, analyze the same and place the report of analysis before us on the next date.
