Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Sacred Heart Public School Chopra Education Society Vs Municipal Council & Others dated 07/05/2019 regarding remedial measures against illegal dumping and burning of garbage near a school by the Municipal Council, Kapurthala.
A report received from the Municipal Council, Kapurthala mentions that plan for remediation has been prepared and machines have been purchased. But the applicant has filed photographs showing that garbage is being dumped as before and is also being burnt. NGT directs the Chief Secretary, Punjab to look into the subject of solid waste management at Kapurthala.
