Ground water year book - Madhya Pradesh (2020-21)

Central Ground Water Board, North Central Region, Bhopal monitors ground water level in the entire state of Madhya Pradesh through a network of 1511 ground water monitoring dug wells and piezometers, four times in a year in order to bring out the spatial and temporal changes in the ground water regime. This continuous monitoring provides a valuable tool to decipher the seasonal and long-term changes in ground water level and quality and in turn helps in managing the ground water resources in a more scientific and effective manner. The present report incorporates the overall behavior of the ground water regime including the quality aspects in the state of Madhya Pradesh on the basis of the detailed analyses of the field data collected from observation wells during the Year 2020-21.
