The Food Safety and Standards (Food Products Standards and Food Additives) Fourth Amendment Regulations, 2021

The Food Safety and Standards of India (FSSAI) on November 3, 2021 has issued the Food Safety and Standards (Food Products Standards and Food Additives) Fourth Amendment Regulations, 2021 to further amend the Food Safety and Standards (Food Products Standards and Food Additives) Regulations, 2011. The amendment in the Food Safety and Standards (Food Products Standards and Food Additives) Regulations, 2011 are as follows: - In 2.4.11 (10) (ii) which specifies “Method of sampling and analysis”, has been substituted, namely: - “A variation of minus 10.0 per cent from the declared value of the nutrients or nutritional ingredients on the label shall be allowed and the nutrient levels shall not exceed maximum limits as specified in the composition tables.” In 2.4.12 which specifies “Rolled Oats”, has been substituted, namely: - Oat Products 1(A) Rolled Oat, 1(B) Products containing oats, Food Additives.
