Banyan, peepal trees to get reserve status

Ahmedabad: The Gujarat government is considering declaring banyan and peepal (Ficus Religiosa) trees as reserved trees as an attempt to conserve environment, stated, principal secretary, forest & environment department, SK Nanda during a seminar on ‘Combating Environmental Degradation – A Roadmap for Gujarat’ here on Wednesday.
