Order of the National Green Tribunal regarding storm water drains in Delhi, 18/03/2014
The National Green Tribunal (Principal Bench, New Delhi) directed all the Municipal Corporations of Delhi to ensure the cleaning of all the drains in every part of Delhi within three weeks. Union of India & Ors. dated 18/03/2014 regarding storm water drains in Delhi. The Tribunal is of the view that unanimity of the expert opinion appears to be that drains in question which are storm water drains should not be covered and sewage should not be permitted to be mixed with storm water.
