3.0 Electrostatic Precipitator (ESP)
will be installed to achieve 100 mg/Nm3 of particulate matter
emission from DRI kiln/power plant. Fume extraction system alongwith bag
filters will be provided with SMS for control of particulate emission. Water
sprinkling, dust suppression and dust extraction system will be installed for
control of fugitive emissions. Total 335 m3/day water will be met from MIDC water supply. The wastewater
(98 KLD) generated from the utilities will be treated and re-circulated, reused or recycled in the
plant. Domestic wastewater (32 KLD) will
be treated through septic tank and soak pits.
Solid waste
Dolo char will be utilised in AFBC. ESP & bag filter dust and raw material
rejects, briquettes will be given to cement / brick manufacturer or land filed
at site. Waste oil (5 MT/month) hazardous waste will be sold to approved
recyclers generated from the proposed plant.
