Forest Rights Act next year: govt
PANJIM: The government has pledged to implement the Forest Rights Act, 2005 from the year 2013, a decision which could go a long way in ensuring that forest dwelling tribes get ownership rights on the land that they live on.
Replying during a discussion on demands for grants for Tribal Affairs, minister Ramesh Tawadkar said that all the issues concerning the tribes which they were demanding will be addressed in time.
