12 Garo villages rewarded for total sanitation movement

MLAs discuss implementation of projects

Meghalaya to get Rs 250 cr as grant-in-aid
New Delhi: The Centre today announced it would give 32 per cent of its tax revenue to states, apart from Rs 3.19 lakh crore as grant in the next five years with Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee accepting the 13th Finance Commission's recommendations.

Tiger dies due to infighting in Kaziranga Park
Guwahati: An endangered Royal Bengal Tiger was found dead on an isle (chapori) of Brahmaputra River to the north of the core area of Kaziranga National Park (KNP) in Assam on Sunday and forest officials on Monday claimed that the tiger died following a fight with another tiger.
