At IGI, plans afoot to turn down sound on Runway 29
Control measures including different landing procedures and land use management considered
As the Delhi High Court provided a six-month relief to the Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) by lifting the ban on use of new runway (29-11) at night, the IGI Airport authorities have drawn up plans to reduce noise pollution caused at the runway.

UP: HC sends notice over monkey issue
The Allahabad high court has issued show cause notices to three officials for noncompliance of an order, asking them to initiate steps to drive away dangerous monkeys from a village in the district. Houses for rehabilation being sold, government tells high court

High Court stays the wildlife course
The night traffic ban on the highway through Bandipur will stay. The Karnataka High Court on Tuesday quashed the order of deputy commissioner, Chamarajanagar, dated June 10, 2009, lifting the ban along the National Highway (NH) 212, connecting Gundlupet-Mudhumalai and NH-67 connecting Gundlupet-Wayanad.
