Former Union power secretary and environmental activist E A S Sarma is the Convener of Forum for Better Visakha (FBV), a civil society forum that has taken up advocacy on behalf of the citizens on issues relevant to urban planning, sanitation, drinking water supply, public health, education, public safety and conservation of the environment. He was member of the Indian Administrative Service (1965-2000) and has served in several key positions in the Government of India.
