The National Assembly in Pakistan was informed on Wednesday that the government plans to reduce the rates of power tariffs to its consumers including agriculture sector. Responding to various questions during the question hour, Parliamentary Secretary on Water and Power Rao Qaisar Ali Khan told the House that it was great desire of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to rationalise and reduce the charges of electricity to the consumers and added "we will announce a good news very soon in this regard."
