A total of 18 power projects in public and private sector for a combined capacity of over 9,000 MW of capacity would achieve financial closure during current fiscal, the Power Minister, Mr P R Kumaramangalam has said. Out of these, public utilities would contribute about 5000 MW while the rest would come from the private sector, he told newsmen last night.
