At least two solar energy projects, costing Rs 321.40 lakh, are in the final stages of commissioning, the projects are being put up by the Punjab Energy Development Agency (PEDA) with the financial support from the Ministry of Non-conventional Energy Sources (MNES) and the Indian Resource Energy Development Agency (IREDA) which have secured funds from the World Bank for the purpose of demonstration of grid interactive solar photovoltaic system.
