The Punjab secretary has issued orders to replace the two-stroke rickshaws with four-stroke ones or to convert the two-stroke into four-stroke. Two-stroke rickshaws will be banned after March 1, the Punjab secretary said in a notification. The government is of the view that two-stroke rickshaws caused environmental pollution, which could be hazardous. The secretary said that a notification had been issued to Rawalpindi and other cities of Punjab.
