The Ministry of Water Resources has declared 2003 as the Year of Freshwater. As part of the programmes organised to spread awareness about the importance of fresh water, Ministry officials made a presentation to the 2,000 recruits of Delhi Police in Jharoda Kalan. Officials from the Delhi unit of the Central Ground Water Board (CGWB) were also present.
