25% annual growth in India-Asean trade: CII

With 25% annual growth in India-Asean trade over a couple of years, Indian business community is hoping that the volume of trade between the two regions would be more than double in the next five years and the country would be the biggest beneficiary. "At present India-Asean trade stands at $12 billion. The trade is having an annual growth of 25% and if sustained efforts are made we hope that we can acheive the $30 billion mark by 2009,' deputy director of CII Ajay Khanna said.
