Ageing metropolis, Kolkata is in for a dose of rejuvenation. After nearly a year of negotiations, the government has finally ties up the $250 million Asian Development Bank loan to give a facelift to Kolkata, the first ever metropolis which will go in for such a massive overhaul. Finance ministry sources said the delay in clinching the agreement was due to several procedural formalities and conditionalities that had to be fulfilled.
