27% rise in number of unemployed in Delhi

There is an overall increase in respect of registered unemployed persons in the city. The capital has registered an increase of 27.83 per cent during 1990-2003. The annual growth rate of registered unemployed in 1991 was 5.64 per cent. According to the Economic Survey of delhi, the population of Delhi in 1991 was 94.21 lakh. It rose to 138.50 lakh in 2001, indicating an increase of 47.01 per cent over 1991.
