RWEAG, Germany's largest electricity company said that it would cut power production by 16 percent in the next three years, following a similar move by another big utility, E.ON AG. Closing plants is the latest effort by Germany's biggest utilities to cut costs after the electricity market was fully opened to competition two and a half years ago.
