Water Resources Minister Shri Jayant Malaiya chaired a meeting today with MLAs from Rewa division. Veterinary and Fisheries Minister and in-charge Minister Shri Ajay Vishnoi, principal secretary water resources Shri R. S. Julania and all MLAs of the area attended the meeting. The meeting discussed in detail about all irrigation schemes of Rewa region and invited suggestions for improvement of irrigation facilities. It was informed in the meeting that the work of the main and prestigious irrigation scheme of the region, Ban Sagar Project is expected to be completed by the year 2012. At present 19 thousand hectares of land is being irrigated from this project. A target has been fixed to increase the irrigation to 36 thousand hectares of land this year, it was informed.
