Five persons, including a production manager, were killed and two injured in a flash fire at the Panipat refinery of Indian Oil Corporation on Friday morning even as the corporation claimed to bring the fire under control within minutes. The fire broke out after a blast when engineers of IOC and a private firm were carrying out repairs in a pipe at the hydrocracker unit, according to police sources in Panipat.
