Five new thermal power projects, accounting for a total installed capacity of 2,411 MW, were accorded techno-economic clearance (TEC)by the Central Electricity Authority (CEA) this month.This includes two gas-based expansion projects to be implemented by the NTPC and three private sector proposals.
