The Orissa government has shortlisted four domestic and four overseas utility companies for diversting a 49 per cent stake in state-owned Orissa Power Generation Corporation. The four foreign firms who have been chosen are US-based AES Transpower, Power Gen and National Power from the UK, and Tractebel from Belgium. They are joined by domestic firms Tata Power, Bombay Suburban Electricity Corporation, GVK Corporation and Hindalco.
