To fund community development projects in the country, the Standard Chartered Bank in association with Rotary International launched the Rotary International-Mastercard Credit Card. The credit card envisages funding social causes like eradication of polio, HIV/AIDS and several other diseases plaguing the country. Every time a card holder makes a purchase using the card, the Standard Chartered Bank will contribute the entire fee paid towards using the card to the Rotary Foundation. The contribution will be utilised for various community-based projects taken up by the Foundation in the country, said Mr Shyam Srinivasan, General Manager and Head, Credit Cards and Personal Loans, Standard Chartered Bank.
