THE World Bank's development policy review report on India titled Sustaining Reform, Reducing Poverty, dated July 14, has been put under the public scanner by a whole range of interests, the official point of view being that the report does not say anything damaging about the condition of the economy or government policies. On the other hand, he point is forcefully made that encouraging things have been said about the existing state of affairs, which should be picked up by those who have the good of the economy at heart.
