America's problem isn't an oil shortage. It's the country's insatiable appetite. The U.S. is not headed for a repeat of the energy crisis of the 1970s, but these are warning signs. By default, Democrats and Republicans alike have adopted an energy policy that depends on limitless supplis to satiate a gluttonous appetite, leaving the nation vulnerable to supply interruptions and the whims of foreign powers.
