ABB, the Swiss electrical engineering and automation group, set out its stall as a provider of "green" energy solutions with a plan to triple its revenues from alternative energy technologies in the next five years. The company aims to increase sales from "renewable" and small scale electricity generation projects from $400m this year $1.4bn in 2004.
