The third power disruption in a week which plunged the city into darkness for hours on Sunday night as a result of tripping in the Sabarmati plant is now being attributed to, among other thins, " usage of poor quality water" in the power plant. Western areas of the city were badly hit by the power failure which continued for two to three hours from 9pm onwards, depending on the locality.
