  • 14/06/1999

Eastern European countries will come under scrutiny this week over the continuing use of aging and Chernobyl-type nuclear reactors 13 years after the world's worst nuclear disaster. Concerns will be underlined at a conference sponsored by the International Atomic Energy Agency at which seven states - including Ukraine, where the 1986 disaster occured - will give updates on modernization efforts.
