Anti-smoking groups have called on federal and state government's to fund a class action against Australian tobacco companies after a Melbourne woman with emphysema and chronic bronchitis withdrew a long running lawsuit. The national lobby group, Action on Smoking and Health, said Australian tobacco companies would continue to deny the link between smoking and ill-health unless forced during the legal process to admit it.
