The government is considering fiscal incentives as well as new legislation to promote renewable and non-conventional sources of energy, secretary in the ministry of non-conventional energy sources M Mookerji said at New Delhi on Wednesday. It is finalising a energy policy statement on the non-conventional sources of energy. The idea is to shift the production of energy from non-conventional sources from the periphery to the core of the power sector, he said.
