Aluminium vessels may cause dementia

Nutrition scientists have cautioned against the long-term use of aluminium vessels, especially by those have calcium and iron deficiency as it was likely to lead to aluminium related toxicity which causes dementia.A study conducted by Dr M Kaladhar and Dr Neelam of the National Institute of Nutrition(NIN) here, showed that vegetables, spices and pulses consumed in the form of 'sambar' prepared using aluminium vessels contributed significantly to aluminium intake.
