Refuting the allegations of Telugu Desam Party (TDP) President N Chandrababu Naidu that he is an anti-reformist, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy said that he is more in tune with the reform process than Mr Naidu. Reacting to a query, Dr Reddy said that he has never opposed the reform process in the state. "In fact, we have excelled in the financial reforms in the state. My government has not increased taxes in the last one year, never pleaded with the RBI for overdraft for even a single day. Further, we have increased budget for irrigation and also the spend last year and we will do the same this year as well,' he said. Despite the government pursuing a free power policy and Crisil having reduced the rating by three points, AP is adjudged as the highest rated in the country, Dr Reddy pointed out.
