Guwahati: The All Assam Students Union (AASU) and Mising Tribe Students Organization Takam Mising Parin Kebang (TMPK) have joined hands to give further momentum to the anti-dam movement that is gaining ground in downstream areas in Assam on the North Bank of the Brahmaputra River apprehending catastrophic impact on life and property of people living in Assam valley in case those mega dams are proposed to be constructed on rivers in Arunachal Pradesh. Ground is being prepared for construction of 168 hydro-electricity projects by damming numerous rivers cascading down Arunachal Pradesh hills to fulfill government of India
