An Atomic Energy Commission panel on Tuesday submitted to the commission a draft plan outlining the direction of nuclear energy research, development and use for the early 21st century in Japan.The commission, chaired by Science and Technology Agency Director General Tadamori Oshima, hopes to announce details of the final plan at the end of the year, after holding a series of hearings to listen to public opinion on nuclear energy.
